Terms of Service

Effective April 1, 2026

Service Responsibilities

As the client, you are responsible for maintaining safe access into and out of your yard. If we are unable to complete a cleanup due to lack of access, the scheduled visit will still be charged.

Dangerous or aggressive dogs must be kept inside the home during scheduled cleanings for the safety of everyone involved.

Clients are responsible for notifying us of any changes in the number of pets and for maintaining prompt payment of any balances due.

Following each visit, all dog waste will be securely double-bagged and placed in your trash bins. Please ensure trash bins are accessible, or notify us of a secondary location where waste can be placed, such as next to the garage or side of the house.

Overgrown grass or heavy ground cover may occasionally result in missed waste. Any missed waste will be collected during your next scheduled service visit.

If your pet(s) will not be using the yard for a period of time, such as during travel or illness, and you do not wish to be charged for an unnecessary visit, please notify us in advance to pause service.

South Florida Weather Policy

South Florida's climate brings unique weather considerations, including heavy rain, tropical storms, and hurricane season. During periods of severe weather or storm warnings issued by local authorities, service may be delayed or rescheduled for the safety of our team.

We will continue service during light rain as dog waste removal can be safely performed in mild wet conditions. However, service will be suspended immediately in the event of lightning or thunderstorms. The safety of our team is our top priority, and no visit will be completed during active lightning or thunder activity. If a thunderstorm develops while our team is en route or mid-service, the visit will be rescheduled to the next available date at no additional charge.

In the event of a named storm, tropical storm warning, or hurricane watch or warning issued for Broward County, service will be suspended and resumed as soon as conditions are safe and roads are accessible.

Following significant rainfall, standing water or saturated ground may make portions of your yard temporarily inaccessible. Any areas that cannot be safely serviced will be addressed at your next scheduled visit.

Twice a Week
If severe weather prevents safe access, we will perform double duty at your next scheduled visit.
Weekly
If a weather event prevents your visit, service will be completed as soon as conditions allow, typically within a day or two.
Bi-Weekly
If weather prevents your visit, it will be shifted to the following available date to maintain your regular rotation.
Once a Month
If weather prevents your visit, it will be rescheduled to the nearest available date within the same billing period when possible.

HOA and Gated Communities

Clients residing in HOA communities or gated neighborhoods are responsible for providing gate access codes, guest passes, or any required entry credentials prior to their first scheduled service. Scoop Brigade is not responsible for missed visits resulting from expired or invalid access credentials. Please notify us promptly of any changes to gate codes or access requirements.

Pest and Wildlife Awareness

South Florida yards may contain fire ants, wasps, snakes, iguanas, or other wildlife. While our team takes every precaution, Scoop Brigade is not responsible for delays or service interruptions caused by unsafe yard conditions related to wildlife or pest activity. If you are aware of any such conditions on your property, please notify us in advance.

Billing, Fees, and Cancellations

Clients agree to keep a valid payment method on file for recurring services and completed cleanups.

Fees and promotions are subject to change. In the event of pricing changes, clients will be notified at least two weeks in advance.

Either party may terminate service in writing at any time. Any unpaid balances are due within 15 days of termination.

Liability

Scoop Brigade is not responsible for pre-existing damage to yards, gates, pets, or property. While we take every precaution during service, minor incidental damage may occur during normal operations. Scoop Brigade carries general liability insurance for your peace of mind.
